WHAT'S GOING ON...

... IN THE IT T&M MARKET?

  • We work with more and more advanced technologies, methodologies and processes in the projects, yet the necessary external T&M resources are provided on the basis of the operational model of the previous century.

  • A large number of relatively small, low-resourced, non-transparent IT consulting companies strive to serve the needs of the clients.

CONSEQUENCES

  • Most of the profit goes to the IT consulting companies => both the client and the independent consultant do badly.

  • The margin is not fixed but “as many as possible”, in case of juniors it can be remarkably high, even 100% (!).

  • In case of T&M contracts IT “consulting” companies have no or minimal added value and a large part of the day to day work management and HR tasks are also the responsibility of the customer's project organization.

  • Many times there is a multi-level subcontracting relationship between the client and the consultant.

  • It often happens that the same external colleagues do the same work on consecutive projects under the names of different companies.

  • all independent consultants are present (as supply),

  • all customer requests are displayed (as demand),

  • operation is transparent,

  • the margin is low.

  • We don’t want to be an IT consulting firm; our goal is to connect customer needs with independent consultants (focusing on T&M resources).

  • We categorize independent consultant colleagues considering different perspectives (competence, professional experience, soft skills, etc.).

  • We regularly ask clients for a review of their colleagues working with them, which we make available and incorporate into the consultants' profile.

  • We provide a direct contract channel to customers.

  • We only contract directly with consultants, there is no multi-level subcontracting.

WHY IS IT GOOD?

  • Due to the low margin the customer gets resources at a more favorable price.

  • Consultant colleagues are more satisfied, do not feel that the margin is unreasonably high.

  • The cooperation depends on the agreement between the client and the consultant so the well-proven external colleagues will not leave the project because the priorities of the company “selling” him may have changed.

  • In the long run the T&M market will be cleaned up and concentrated (companies operating according to the outdated model will cease).

  • As a long-term result of the above AZ9 could cover a significant part of the T&M market providing a single point resource access for the clients.
